Primary Function:

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the Company’s Part 21 and Part 145 organizational process and adds improvements to it. They are responsible for leading, training, managing and developing the capabilities and infrastructure needed to exceed customer expectations in schedule, service, and quality of all company deliverables. The assist Human Resources in the recruiting and hiring process, implement policies and strategies to improve productivity and efficiency levels and build an enjoyable company culture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures.

  • Communicate job expectations, planning, and monitoring job contributions

  • Implement, analyze, and adapt process workflows, employee space requirements, and equipment layout

  • Responsible for setting and maintaining expectations with employees that guarantee results commensurate with the guidelines set by the President.

  • Works with employees to create short and long-term career development plans.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Managing technicians, planning, and logistics staff.

  • Administer personnel functions including recruiting, hiring, review and approval of job descriptions, selection and placement of personnel, performance reviews and evaluations, and compensation planning.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required

  • Ability to understand, read, write and speak English

  • Working experience and understanding with Lean Six Sigma in a contract manufacturing setting

Preferred

  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the work being performed.

  • A minimum of 2 years of managing a manufacturing facility.

  • Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Program Management.

Safety Requirements:

  • Must follow all safety requirements of the job as outlined in the safety policy

  • May be required to handle hazardous waste and follow proper safety procedure for storage and disposal

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reach objects. Requirements may also include climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
