Summary
We are seeking a Bilingual/Spanish HR Generalist to join our team! You will perform numerous activities in human resources from HRIS maintenance to Employee Relations matters.
Performs Human Resource related duties at the administrative level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: recruitment, retention, benefits administration, employment, compliance, employment equity programs and recordkeeping.
The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assist department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
Responsible for the timely and accurate administration of time and attendance and payroll systems, including recordkeeping and reporting. Ensure accuracy of documentation and application of PTO.
Assist in administration of performance management.
Participate in benefits administration to include monitoring benefit plan compliance and reporting, claims resolution, change reporting and approving invoices for payment. Will support paperwork generation for COBRA response, FMLA leave administration and benefits enrollment/termination.
Participate in recruitment effort for exempt and non-exempt personnel. Maintain accurate records and database throughout the recruitment process for applicant tracking. Identify and submit qualified candidates for review.
Correspond with candidates and agencies as necessary. Generate recruitment response letters and job postings in a timely manner.
Conduct new employee orientation, administer pre-employment tests, conduct reference checks and phone screens.
Maintain records, reports, charts and logs pertaining to employee life cycle management.
Administers LOA/FMLA, STD programs, and provides information and forms to employees, and files paperwork with appropriate insurance company.
Assist in post-hire and exit interview process.
Assist in organizational training and development efforts.
Updating and maintain Human Resource Information System (HRIS) records and compile reports as needed.
Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend other meetings and seminars as required.
This position may require knowledge of SOX / 404 internal audit controls and related documentation.

Education and/or Experience
Required:
Human Resource Management training and/or experience
Knowledge of human resources principles and practices
Knowledge of labor laws and employee benefits, compliance and reporting laws
Preferred:
Three to five years of related HR support experience
PHR Certification
Experience with Human Resource Information System (HRIS) database
